To all who do not live in the united states of america

I want to apologize for what the world is seeing, unfortunately this is the new normal for American society. The Constitution is the SUPREME LAW OF AMERICA and it is not being followed. America is destroying itself for political convenience and I for one am tired of it, not seen since before the War Between the States. I am tired of REPUBLICIANS AND DEMOCRATS who pledge allegiance to party not to the Republic. I took an oath to PROTECT, DEFEND THE CONSTUTION OF THE UNITED STATES AGAINST ALL ENEMIES FOREIGN AND DOMESTIC. Senator's took a similar oath and apparently many did not take it seriously but half heatedly if at all. Unfortunately today's American see this as normal instead of abnormal and that is just plain wrong. It will take something much worse then 911`to sew the tears in the fabric of society together. It is guilty until proven innocent, how can anyone stand trial again in America? Why have a jury just the prosecutor and judge like in some "socialist communist countries?

American society is soft, coddled and totally without a redeem quality save for one. The redeeming quality is THE CONSTITUTION AND OUR REPUBLIC which if used will save our country. As long as either side ignores this concept then to hell with it all just pull the plug. I am sick and tired of politics of both parties, I want AN AMERICAN solution to our problems, not a party solution.

I am a very tick off American!

If you're apologizing then it means you caused it. Why else would you apologize ?
You should be ashamed of yourself.

To those who want to come here -- if you would be an asset to OUR country, why not stay home and be an asset to YOUR OWN country?

I am sad for those who aren't, for those whose only purpose in the furthering of their party. America should be better then what has been shown to the world! Are we still a great country or have we slid to a central American country? I am just ticked off that we have slid into this type of political discourse where ANYONE can be stilled by just an accusation with no evidence. What happened this week was a travesty of any type of justice...just a lynch party and America should be better then that. Because a person is of the opposite political party why destroy him/her for political gain? Say what you want, I just thought America was better then this, I see that I am wrong!

Sam there are probably about 10 other countries in the world that might be worthy of an apology from us. We might fall off the tracks now and then but we get back on. We are still the best.

I can't say we are the best considering our friends to the north of us, we are pretty good I must say. Still I wouldn't want to live anywhere else as I love my country.

I don't think we take a back seat to anyone. If we have a fault, it's that we're too altruistic, too ready to give aid and sympathy.

So from a Garrison Keillor point of view, America is going from Not Bad, or Pretty Good, back to being Great again. MAGA is a clever slogan but I guess not to be taken literally.

Took me a while but I get it. A Prairie Home kind joke. It invokes thought.
You can never go home again. There's an oldy but a truey.
America has always been and will continue to be Great. But,we are not as insulated as we were in the past. No one is. It's all out there.
But this spectacle is a little raw(you know the spectacle I'm talking about). If Clarence Thomas can stand to watch this he might be having PSTD.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.
