The first picture, of a medic with a wounded man in an armored ambulance was made in my unit -- 1st Bn, 61st IN (M). The brigade, (1st Bde, 5th Inf Div) was OPCON to the 3rd Marine Division, making that division one of only two combined Army-Marine division to see combat.

The pic identifying a patrol of 5th of the 9th Inf, 1st Cav Div is more likely 5/7th 1st Cav Div. Shakeys Hill was a Bravo Co 5/7th, 1st Cav operation.

I was in Charlie Co 5/7th, 1st Cav a couple of hills over at the time.
