You just wonder what goes through the head of people like that. I agree with dryheat that those holes in the ears are where the loose screws fall out. I'll be honest--arms and legs full of ink make me wonder too.
Anybody remember James Bulger? A little kid murdered in Britain by bigger kids (ten year olds).
It turns out that the UK let the killers out of jail when they reached adult age, and put them in effect in a witness protection program with new identities. And the European Court of Hand-Wringing gave them crap for being too heavy-handed at that. I mean, WTF? If it were up to me such people would be allowed out only if they agreed to be human test subjects for new and unproven pharmaceuticals or something like that. In other words, only if their exercise of even a small taste of freedom came with an iron-clad guarantee that society would gain back some small measure of compensation for the damage they had done.
