It leads to death of the mind, then spirit and finally body. Nice girl I knew started out on weed at high school parties, went onto harder stuff. To support her habit became a hooker then got AIDS for her trouble. On her last day of life she got several bullets to her body and that cured her addiction. I have seen and treated my share of active addicts that death cured their addiction, by then it was too late.

Had a discussion about this in Arkansas. One guy said pot "is a natural substance" (which presumably makes it okay.) He got all huffy when I pointed out cobra venom is also "a natural substance."
