Defaming Muhammad Is Not Protected By Free Speech...

...European court decides. But I guess it's okay to attack Christianity.

EU courts. I didn't think they had free speech as we have come to know it...and still debate it.

        From the article:

According to Islamic tradition, the marriage between Muhammad and a 6-year-old girl was consummated when she was 9 years old and he was about 50.
That's seriously f'd up. I don't care how many elaborately tiled Mosques are built. The lady has a point.

Now you're f****d up. Just because it's both immoral and criminal in our culture doesn't mean it is in theirs. Gag me!

Hey so on the subject of baseball. Brewers gave it a good run, but not surprised the Dodgers are down 2-0 & not sure moving the action to LA is gonna help. But then again that's why they play the games.

The thing about baseball is that the games are getting harder to watch, when its 5-10 minutes between balls put in play. The Brewers are definitely part of that trend, playing the shifts and then guys foul off balls like crazy trying to hit over it. It's definitely become a different game now in many ways, like two computers battling it out with human dice. And now that the computers are in the clubhouse there's no getting them out, and I don't know that there are rules you can pass to limit their effectiveness, or should pass, because at some level the computers are an equalizer between the rich clubs and the poor. Look at Bryce Harper. He's still expected to earn a buttload of money at his next stop, owners being the way they are, but it sure seems like the number crunchers have found his weak spot and so now all the pitchers throw whatever it is that makes him a .230 hitter instead of .290.

I guess in a nutshell I see the computers as being good for baseball in a way because they give a club like Milwaukee another path to the winner's circle, but bad for the watchability in the sense that games take longer and have less action in it. Are beer and nacho sales up at the ballpark? If so then maybe the owners like that too and long games are here to stay.

I agree with Jerry Lee Lewis--12 is soon enough.

In the 15th inning...yeah the games are taking a long time! The pitching changes are adding at least 30 minutes to a game. The delays before going to the pen. The walk to the mound and the eight tosses...A few changes per inning and it adds up.

You got me thinking about that last part. They stop selling beer early so that means soft drinks. They gouge on those more than beer since the most expensive thing there is the cost of making the ice.

It was a good season. A great season. Too bad for me the Cubs ran out of gas a month too early to be competitive.
