The DOW seems like the boy who cried Wolf ...

    Eventually, people stopped paying attention"
The DOW seems to up and down dramatically, but
does anyone care anymore ? Obviously, the big
mucky mucks with the big bucks worry, but does
    anyone else ?
Seems like it's just Amazon and Google and Facebook
squabbling amongst themselves. Who gives a sh!t if
Soros or Buffet loses a few millions ? Certainly not me.
Life always seems to go on with us normal people
whether or not the DOW goes up or down.

Well people were woofing about the market when it was up. Trump, Red and Vernon included. So maybe they care or maybe they'd rather not talk about it.

A lot of retirement system are invested so the little guy has interest in that regard. I put $$150.00 a month in an account. From what I can tell it don’t matter much till I want to retire...

I had a Turkish boss for most of my career designing ordnance devices for the US military, NASA and aircraft industries. He commented on occasion: "Dogs bark, but the caravan moves on" (no reference to the imminent Southern border invasion) with regard to hair pulling reactions to current financial/investment events.

The markets (Markets) do what the markets do. When the Fed raises bond rates investors pull money out of the market and puts it into securities. The bond market has been paying near record lows for 10 years, bolstering what growth the equities markets had.

I'm disappointed in the current market volatility for now as it's nearly my only income but I'd like for it to stay down now until after Jan 1st, Please; for the sake of my IRS filings.

Interest rates also help give a cushion, and must go up to temper inflation.

There is little notice of the on-going market volatility among the executive boardrooms because those corporations are currently showing a respectable profit due to the dramatic improvement in the economy. Daily share price fluctuations mean little when the company is showing the best profit in ten years. Regards, Clark

Pray tell, just how well did it do under Obama next to the current situation?
