I've noticed that too. Extremely proud of their Persian culture but embrace so many aspects of the western world. It really is too bad their political and religious leaders are stuck in the stone age.

I pointed out to an Iranian ex-pat here now with a green card (hates the regime, crappy Muslim by his own admission) that if Iran had a 2A like us, they wouldn't be where they are now. He's not a gun fan but has no good argument against that. Good guy nonetheless, taught me a lot about Persians.
