When one has socialized their society one can always find someone who is doing something for the good of society.

No matter what it costs, or who it hurts.

It will add spice to the taste of sausages. What could be spicier than Sin ?

I tried the beef when I visited 10 yrs ago,

          it was horrible,

the fish and chips, and a good bitter, were excellent

had a customer years ago that would buy a whole ribeye, cut it up and freeze it , then carry it home (he was an ExPat from England) to his kids a couple times a year (in his carry on luggage)

I did a few contracts with the Ministry of Defense in England in the 1990s. I stayed in a hotel under contract to the MOD. My hosts told me, "The contract entitles you to the English Breakfast. They'll try to tell you you're only entitled to the Continental Breakfast, but be sure to eat the English Breakfast."

The first morning, I looked over the English Breakfast -- and it would kill at 50 meters! You never saw so much fat and grease!

I admit it -- all that grease made me sick at my stomach, and the kidney pudding made me lose it!

It shouldn't take guts to eat. But then, who doesn't like bacon.. Kidney pudding, don't explain it to me....Kind of like mince meat pie. My dad liked it. I might have liked it if I knew what it was all about and could order it without the weird stuff. I suspect there were raisins. Or plums(whatever those are), or dates or some other weird substance. I'm a picky eater. If Lima beans wash up on the desert island I'm on, I'll still starve.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

My dad, who spent most of his adult life working oil exploration contracts in some very remote places, was not a fan of English cusine, but he did explain how they cook kidneys -- "They boil the piss out of them!"

In Germany, any establishment with a sign and a stove guarantees good food. In jolly old England, one needs a guide and some luck to find edible food. Regards, Clark

I've no idea what kidney pudding is.
Steak and kidney pie - yes. Kidney Pudding - No.
                        Kidneys are fried, not boiled.
Your Dad's as crazy as you are Vern.

My lad, I've seen kidneys boiled -- and smelled them, too.

                          From the internet --
Steak and kidney pudding is a savoury pudding made by enclosing diced beef steak and lamb's or pig's kidney pieces in gravy in a suet pastry.
It's perfectly safe to eat kidneys unwashed. But almost nobody enjoys smelling ammonia, urea or nitrogenous wastes in general when eating food.
You can boil them to remove that taste.

when I was in the meat business, as an apprentice, we would get beef kidneys and lamb kidneys in plastic bags,
open and tray them up for sale,

the smell of piss was a bit much, but folks would buy them,

when asked how to cook, the common answer was to boil the piss out of them,
