played a lot of baseball, tackle football and basketball in the neighborhood. Of the 3, tackle football was always the most satisfying. Gotta watch that frozen ground though. Games of "kick the can" were fun too. Girls could play that.

Monopoly. All the kids in our neighborhood enjoyed this.

Played touch football in the street using alley to alley as end zones.
Softball in the street (Chicago Clincher) using storm drain covers as bases.
Street hockey using homemade nets from lumber scraps and chicken wire.
Fast pitch: strike zone painted on a wall wherever we could find an empty parking lot or a clear zone along the railroad tracks.
Climbing: Who could conquer the factory rooftops and who could scale the coal yard fences etc..
Jumping: Climb onto a garage roof and leap from one to the other to see who could make it down the entire block (1/8 of a mile).
Free "L" rides. Scaling up and over the outside of the elevated CTA train platforms bypassing the fare collector at street level.
            2016 Chicago Cubs. MLB Champions!
