socialism sounds like an attractive alternative. Democrats
now have the House so they will ensure that nothing Trump
wants to get done will have any chance of success. Plus, they
will hound the President with never ending investigations. If
they can capture Florida and Texas, both of which are under
assault they may have won the Electoral College. The two
remaining obstacles to their complete takeover will be the race for
the Senate and the Presidency - with the Senate the more important.
With both the House and the Senate they can make the President
impotent (figuratively). From then on unhappy voters might well
award them the White House in the next go round. Fait accompli.
It's a nightmarish scenario I know, but it's what I see coming.

In Texas the growing number of Hispanics who can vote will also go with the Democrats. Finally, if you also throw in California and New York it begins to look pretty gloomy for Republicans.

I don't know if the states can pass laws that affect federal office voting such as POTUS. State elections maybe but I don't think so on the federal level.

What Trump needs to push is citizens only for the next census count and it shouldn't be an honesty system. People should show a birth certificate in order to be counted. This would really make the electoral college voting fair and prove that the U.S. population is vastly illegal.
