Let me put it this way: the engineer will change 20 batteries in the same amount of time that 20 social workers will change 1 battery.

But I'm also thinking: Boggs can't be serious. He has a night school diploma which he parlayed into a crappy-paying social worker job, which was upgrade from whatever he was doing before, and he's trying to bust my chops on career choices? If you are serious then you are one odd fellow, Mr. B.

Any Democrats here are not your enemies. They would not be here if they were. They own firearms which the far far left of the party hates with a passion. But they do enjoy baiting you and your stances getting rises out of you. Lets face it you ask for it and they give it to you. It needs to stop. We all face a serious threat to our ability to enjoy our 2nd amendment rights no matter what party your in. It is the far far lefts ideas of communism that they call socialism and have no doubt it is communism. They have hijacked any ideas or any causes they can to help them get elected and they did it. So now this country is in need of people to help set it straight again. I would work for any Democrat who would run against any of these so called socialists to stop them and their big leader Bernie Sanders. To it's credit the DNC tried to stop Bernie but failed when those who control the huge amounts of dollars in the party objected. (the likes of George Soros comes to mind.)

@ least I had the satisfaction of helping people live better lives, getting off of drugs, staying out of prison, making sure they had food to eat, warm clothes, a safe place to live. Yea Togor or what ever you really are I am pleased, at least I am "learned" not "trained!" @ the end of my life @ least I KNOW I mattered in many lives not just learning how to change a battery or plug in a cord. I have Honor's and enough certificates to paper a wall going back 40 years my "trained" friend. Funny, last night I watched a show with a "trained" monkey, go to the same school?

I was a store manager in a location that was being remodeled (retail grocery)

engineer, and the engineering company hired to do the plans for the much needed remodel fukked up,
seems the front wall of the store was measured, back wall measured, and the front ended up being 4 feet or so shorter,
so instead of having 2 urinals in the mens room, I had one, off center on the wall,

the site guys,, architect and engineer all went oops,

during the same remodel , the elevator shaft had to be torn down 4 times and rebuilt,, seems the engineer, site manager, and brick layer could not seem to get on the same page,

so, after those and several other issues, I told the engineer (who i consider a friend) a joke I had heard,,

in every project, there comes a time to shoot the engineer and move forward,,,

          he was not amused

Lots of engineer jokes out there, lyman, some about engineers in bars and beautiful women, etc. Engineers also can be pretty critical of the work of other engineers, as one might expect. But go anyplace built by man, and thereabouts you see the work of engineers. Some of it missed the mark, but most of it gets the job done. As a line of work it's done alright by me, and I'm glad I got into it. Plus I enjoy the math. Boggs thinks he's got something with which to needle me but in reality the ultimate joke is on him.

So your whole reason for this needle is the momentary difference in perspective implied by a word choice? "Learned" versus "trained"? Huh. Sid's a "trained psychiatrist", FWIW. Dunno Boggs. I think you can be a bit mulish in your outlook at times. BTW, lots of engineers work in the medical industry, and if you ever underwent a procedure that required ventilation, there is a decent chance some of my work helped you breath for awhile. Enjoy the holiday. Curious to see if you let this drop or keep it going.

Togor, the joke is ON YOU I got you to respond. Stay away from fixing guillotines and you will live longer.
