    Tomorrow we celebrate......

The arrival of illegal immigrants. The Pilgrims it turns out should have ended up more towards Virginia, where they had a legal charter from King James (Via profit driven private enterprise) to settle.
Mention this after reading an opinion piece on CNN tauting the Pilgrims as law abiding immmigrants and that we should therefore open our doors to all.

The immigration laws were a lot different back then.

80 years prior to this the Pilgrims/Spanish/Ponce De Leon landed at St. Augustine, FL and discovered the fountain of youth. After making several return trips each time bringing more europeans the area native Indians got their fill of him and killed him with a flaming arrow.

The laws were different back then but invasion has never been welcomed.

Perhaps but if so he wouldn't have been much of a meal. He was only about 4' tall as were most Europeans back then (at least the Spanish). When he invaded America he was greeted by these 6'--6.5' native Indians and he figured it had something to do with the water that they drank here. When he came across this little fresh water fountain spewing out of the ground he started taking the water back in barrels to Spain and bringing unwanted people back to FL every time he came. The fountain is still there and still flowing. There is a life size statue of him there near the fort as well. It's barely big enough for a bird to land on.

            Actual size:

Some Indians welcomed the white man at first. Then when the white man started to destroy all that the Indians held sacred that's when the battle started.
