FGM has been done in this country for years. While it is widely practiced in third world cultures it is not exclusive to them. Just like when abortions were once done back alley, FGM was/is too. A former GF was a 'victim' of one of the lesser forms of it when she was young. Her European parents wished to keep her pure. In todays American society, she has both physical and psychological sex related issues and none are positive.
It actually prevented us from staying together. Too bad for me. Pretty, classy, frugal, and highly intelligent but feels unable to hang on to anyone for very long due to the inflicted shortcomings. Simply "doing her duty" means failure in her eyes. That manifests itself in other aspects outside the bedroom. Fortunately to this day we are still good friends. (Naturally 'friends with benefits' is out of the equation)

Children should not be subjected to it. Pretty much being made into someone's drone with a sense of inferiority later in life. It may work where women are property but our society doesn't allow for that.
