    Study: Consciousness Persists After Death

Ruth Bader Ginsberg may be a good example of this. Check it out:

I hope not--too many things I'd like to forget.

I read and heard of reports where some people who died and were revived saw themselves on the operating table surrounded by the medical staff trying feverously to bring them back to life. Others have seen themselves at the scene of a auto accident they were involved at being revived by the paramedics. From what I've read (if true) this is only for a short time not 10 or 15 years which would be the case with Ruth Ginsberg.

This research is a continuation of what they realized during the reign of terror in France. Still no solid proof, but they spent a lot of money to publish what the French suspected by mere observations at the guillotine.

I believe in reincarnation. Your next life depends on what you do today. It's said there is a Hell in the afterlife. I think living in this world is the real Hell. I also think you will not be greeted by your ancesters after you die. They are already living today in another life. I also don't believe in santa clause, the tooth fairy and the easter bunny.

That would mean that to escape Hell, this life, one has to die, only to be reborn into this world again, which is....Hell?

If our souls are free to escape our corporeal organic bodies, wouldn't they ascend into another plane of existence rather than come back to suffer another short life span on our little rock in the universe? I should think so. Earth is a nice place to visit but I wouldn't want to spend eternity here. There's a nice little beach in the far end of Andromeda I'd like to stop off at on my way to Asgard.

I believe in reincarnation too mostly because I'm an animal lover. I believe God is fair but what I see here on earth is not fair for animals, some are raised just for slaughter, some are raised in cages, some are starved and abused, most have very short lives and they all feel the same discomfort and pain that we do. Unlike humans there's nothing they can do about it. Domestic animals know right from wrong but they do not sin. Some of my pets especially the dog I have now seems to want to be human very badly wanting to go everywhere I go, eat what I eat, go to bed when I do, understanding much of what I say and on and on. I believe if you are cruel to an animal you may come back some day as that animal. Perhaps things will be like the movie "Ground Hog Day" where a person keeps living the same days or life over and over till he gets it right. Who knows? I don't hunt but I've killed many pesky squirrels. Hope I don't come back as one.

Hell? I think it is wishful thinking that life on earth is our hell. The Bible mentions hell as the lake of fire on many occasions. Ironically there is very little mention of heaven or what it is like.

I for one have been next to relatives as they died and called out to their mother or father who were greeting them and it was their last words.

Now that my kids are grown I've got to agree with you about Santa Clause, tooth fairy, Easter bunny and even the Energizer Bunny.
