    2018 minorities-fail-fl-teacher-exam-at-higher-rates/

Quote: Two years after we first exposed how thousands of teachers and aspiring teachers are failing a revised teacher licensing exam, state data reveals minority examinees are disproportionately failing the state mandated teacher test. End Quote:

What's the solution? There has to be a way to improve this situation.
Apparently the current educational methods are not working. Where is the failure? And how can the failure rate be improved? Our schools and the US needs qualified teachers of all races, Ray

The dems say, "Spend more money on education". The farmer says, " This ground won't make a decent crop". Regards, Clark

US already tops the world in spending per student, because of course, "nothing's too good for our kids," as the teachers' unions always say before every school bond election. About $15,000 here vs. about $10,000 for Japan & S. Korea. Students from which of those 3 countries would you guess score highest in testing? (Hint: it's NO contest.)

Arizona was always near the bottom for education numbers. That's the numbers for smartness. During the Great Recession a hundred thousand or so illegals went back to the farm. Locally they closed several elementary schools. The numbers went up. The same reason we hear here that 1 in 4 kids are hungry and we need to give to St. Mary's.

Those schooled in our failing system are then asked to teach within that same system. I think the solution might be more difficult than identifying the problem.

People who majored in education because it was easy and graduated from college with a C average....It's like going to a fitness center and realizing all the staff and instructors are fat and out of shape.

Blackhawknj, that fitness center description pretty much describes the staffing in most hospitals.

In Iowa, the teacher's union doesn't have much clout because they have been banned from striking for wages and benefits.
