    Just so you know...

... what others think about Dems vs. Repubs:

The Differences between Values of the Republican Party and the Democratic Party!
by Cao Changqing, February 6, 2016

The socialist economic ideology of left-wing parties, such as the US Democratic Party is essentially the same as the communist ideology. Communists pursue the "Great World of Equality", eliminate differences among individuals, and divide the wealth equally among rich and poor. Through violent means, communists rob and kill the wealthy ones, then offer the robbed wealth to the poor. Communists also implement "planned economic policy" to force the society to become "equal". Although the left-wing parties in Europe and the United States have acted in a peaceful manner under the democratic system, they still use government power to impose high tax and welfare, which is meant to rob the wealth from the rich and give it to the poor.

"Socialism is the primary stage of the communism", declared by Karl Marx in Communist Manifesto.

"then offer wealth to the poor" ? I don't think so. They keep what they steal.

Shh.... nobody tell Red that Norway is a socialist country, or that the USA and Britain socialized health care and retirement income for seniors. He'd flip out if he knew, and no one wants that.

Shh...don't anyone tell Togor that National Socialist countries have the largest tax base to steal from to give "free" stuff! Social Security is a "tax" we paid as one was employed, welfare is stealing money from those who have to those who often won't.

"National Socialist countries"? Like what? Overused label. You need a new gag. The old one completely undid your attempt at humor right out of the gate. And yeah, check the definition...SS and Medicare are socialized programs, as they fit the definition. One would think a social Worker would know that (joke there).

I have never voted for a democrat, especially State democrats, because when they are in office, seems like they always want to raise taxes on just about everything.

Like Italy and Germany (in the 1930's) the USSR, Mao's China, No. Korea, Argentina, Venezuela, Cuba, Greece, Portugal, So Africa, Albania, etc.

The definition of a Socialist Nation is so screwed up that Google defines Canada, Ireland, Norway etc, as being Socialists. Not true. There are big corporations, entrepreneurial enterprises, and all kinds of private enterprises in those countries but little or none in Venezuela Argentina, Cuba, etc. which are not included in Google's definition.

There is a deliberate attempt to misrepresent socialism as an either/or, 0%/100% thing. Britain socialized medicine, but a private system exists in parallel, and most of the British economy is in the private sector--like finance for example.

Wrong again, I did not train as a SW and did not perform that task. I was a Case Manager who dealt in criminal activity and chemical dependence. Would be nice of you to get your facts straight once in awhile.

What facts are twisted in this thread?

Hmmm. Interesting that high tax rates used to pay for stuff like health care defines a socialist country in the view of many people. As Red pointed out, Norway taxes the snot out of everyone but it is not a socialist country.
