In college I had a student teacher from one of the nations in Africa, he said in his country a Black American is an America who's ancestors were African. He couldn't see any need for African America unless one was actually born in Africa and then became an American Citizen. I am of Irish heritage, but since I was born here I am a Native America by definition.
