As she says, it's not DNA but heritage. Begs several questions. Why flee Spain to somewhere just as strict about Judaism? A small colony where slavery and persecution was the norm? A place where the very few Jews who were there had to keep it in the closet. Judaism wasn't practiced in her family for generations. How could something centuries lost and long forgotten by her family be part of her heritage?

Ties to Puerto Rico and New York are part of her heritage. A long forgotten wayward Jew from the 16th or 17th century? Not so much. She probably picked up a few young Jewish voters though.
