    Cancer test results

Continue to be gone, just got back from Columbus after another exam. My Physician is still puzzled that I am here from how sick I was 2 and a half years ago without surgery. In 90 days will have another colonoscopy done from stem to stern and see him again in June. Apparently mine is a rare case of recovery without major re-plumbing just major chemo and radiation. I think God everyday for what HE has done for me and all that I have been allowed to have. If I was still working I would not have what I now have, so my cancer was a blessing in disguise.

    Congratulations, Sam!

A word of advice -- that colonoscopy from stem to stern is an endoscopy (goes down your throat) and a colonoscopy (from the other end.) Have them do the endoscopy FIRST -- because who knows how well they clean that thing!

Congratulations as well. You have really gone through a lot to get where you are today though. Most of us would have probably given up with all that treatment going on.

@ my former profession my boss, a Nam Marine E5 and tough as nails, called me his "gorilla" his hit man. Once I grabbed on I NEVER LET GO of what I was assigned. From day one fear never entered my mind, I knew I could beat the disease being on God's side. Being a Believer, what did I have to lose if I died? In the two and a half years since I was diagnosed many good things have happened in my life, thanks to HIS Will. Our Wal-Mart insurance has and still is here for me, never a quibble on paying my vast medical bills and treatment. Early it was observed that I had cataracts on both eyes and my healthcare team wanted to know if I wanted them removed and have corrective eye surgery in addition to continuing my cancer treatment. $20,000 later of their money I only need glasses to read with and after 50 years of glasses never again. My medical team is astounded of how far down this path I have come with ALL of my test results in the good area. For a man of 67 I feel better then I have ever before, accepting normal ageing. My big thing now is the continuation of building our new home and all the opportunities that God is giving to us. Everyday is Christmas for me and the light at the end of my tunnel is a bright new day!
Having a positive attitude has been a big help, the support of family and friends, including you jokers here, has gone a great way on my pathway. Last, but not least, is my K9 companion Wolf who continues to constantly be at my side to help me. I have to advise people we meet that Wolf is not a pet but my compadre and a loved one at that. She and I both got up at 0315 for her to go out. I got my coffee and she her Milk Bone, right now she is curled up on "her" end of our couch sound asleep. My day starts early and I love it!
