The Jewish kids who fled the Nazis ...

British kids were evacuated to places like Cornwall and
cared for by families until war's end. And Jewish kids
were send to Britain to escape the Nazis and cared for
by kindly families. The difference was that the British
kids would re-unite with their parents. The German
    kids wouldn't be so lucky.

Of course, these "kids" are now in their mid 80's. A nice symbolic effort by the German government but perhaps it should have been done decades ago.

It should have been done in 1945 or thereabouts.

But the idea that Jewish children would re-unite with their parents was tragically wrong -- their parents were dead by War's end.

They were originally promised 50 GBP when reunited. Germany is now paying approximately 2,245 GBP as a settlement. Taking 8 decades of inflation into account it appears they are finally getting their "40 acres and a mule".

Who said this? 'In almost all the cases the parents who remained were killed in concentration camps in the Holocaust and they have tremendous psychological issues.'

Yeah. I imagine if I were killed in the Holocaust, I'd probably have some issues too.

I used to know a woman who was a concentration camp survivor. She worked for the GSA and had to have an office on the 2nd floor -- she couldn't bear to go any higher.

Not sure I understand about her not wanting to higher than 2nd floor

Maybe because the Nazis executed people on the third floor ?

I have no idea WHY she couldn't go above the 2nd floor, I only know that she was terrified. Psychological problems are not always logical.

Yes, send the mongrels back, but Jews are the least mongrelized of all Caucasians. (Americans, the most.)
