I like the way they lump suicides with homicides.

I don't know of any psychologist who works with suicide cases who would deny that the overwhelming cause of suicide is clinical depression. The anti-gunners would have us believe that if a man were so depressed he was willing to put a gun in his mouth and pull the trigger -- but couldn't GET a gun -- he would be magically cured of his depression and go through the rest of his life skipping and whistling.

You really believe that's what the anti-gunners are saying? I think they're saying how sad it is when someone who is clinically depressed gets a gun and shoots themself, leaving loved ones with a huge hole to clean up the mess, and wondering if there isn't something to be done. You agree, IF the depressed person shoots up a mall. By all means then, let's consider the mental health angle. But if it's only themselves being shot then any inconvenience to the gun buying public is too much. What a lovely, self-satisfied view of the world.

Gun suicides need to be taken seriously as a gun death statistic because sometimes they're not exclusively suicides.
