California plans to spend itself out of debt ...

Well, it might not be in debt now - then again it might be,
who knows, but in any case, if it isn't now it soon will be.
California is rapidly filling up with immigrants who consume
mightily but produce very little, unless one considers tidy
gardens. These might look nice but will do little to help finance
the free schools, health care, free college and whatever largesse
our new Governor can dream up. But, it's only money and not
even his. And you can bet the virtually total democrat legislature
won't soon be coughing it up. So guess who's going tp pay.
    Yep.

They're angling for a Federal bail out.

Didn't Cleveland get one about 40 years ago?

Well, yes, although it was targeted on certain sectors.

          It's a BAD idea.

Watch IL. I think they are ahead of CA because they have driven out their economic base years ago and are bleeding out taxpayers.

And those states that managed their affairs well, and are prosperous are expected to pay the bills for the profligate states.

If only it were true. See who the makers and takers are by state.

Notice how the Nazis are so quick to claim that the FICA tax is "revenue" --

For purposes of this study, what constitutes federal payments and benefits? There are five categories listed for federal taxes that constitute approximately $3.1 trillion, or 94% of all federal revenues. Individual income tax provides 47% of revenues at $1.541 trillion, while social insurance taxes such as FICA provide 34% of revenues at $1.106 trillion. Corporate income taxes contribute $300 billion, excise taxes add $95 billion, and estate/gift taxes add up to $21 billion.
-- and that the benefits paid out are lumped with "Federal benefits."

Direct payments such as Social Security and Medicare constitute 59% of all federal benefit payments.
We're supposed to feel guilty about drawing the old age insurance that we paid for all our lives!

Pathetic name-calling is your response to a lot of things, Vernon. Don't know why the stats strike a nerve, unless it's for the usual reason that you don't like getting caught out in your sophistry. Try using fewer broad generalizations.

The pathetic name calling is reality, deal with it! NAZI is an easier way to say National Socialism which is the term you disapprove of yet is correct. I was chided for drawing Social Security, something that I paid in as well as where I worked at. It is an entitlement only in the sense that it was something that is mine. Prove Vern and I incorrect in the term NAZI will you or just accept that which you are. Look at your "Democratic" party of which you are so proud of, aren't they now electing socialists to Congress and taking up the banner of socialism? Is your party a "national" party or what? National Socialist Democratic Workers Party is WHAT YOU ARE by your own advertisement. Don't like the term NAZI, then quit being one.
