Christmas in Lebanon. There were Christians in Lebanon long before the very first copy of the NYT came off the press. To this day the country is nearly half Christian. The Lebanese I have interacted with decorate for Christmas, but the decorations are more religious than most.
What I'm not aware of is the type of Santa Claus they have over there. Never bothered to ask. Thinking he might be more closely related to the real deal but sporting a few latter day fashion trends of our Coca Cola Santa. I doubt he has eight tiny flying goats.

Santa Claus (Saint Nicolas) was the Bishop of Myra (now in Turkey). He was known for his charity, and hence is associated with giving gifts. So he basically lived right around the corner from Lebanon.
