There are more Laws than there are Insects or Stars ...

There is no record of how many State and Federal laws that
presently exist. If it's any gauge, Moonbeam has signed just
short of 18,000 during his two terms. Apparently there are
20,000 Federal gun laws and probably that many again from
the fifty States. Every year both State and Federal each come
up with new ones to add to the already existing mountain of
good, bad, ridiculous, harassing and unnecessary laws.
How long before none of us dare set foot out of our house ?

SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Jerry Brown is leaving office Jan. 7 after signing more than 1,000 laws in his last year, further positioning the state as a bastion of liberal activism and goad to President Donald Trump.

1 Jan. 2019 more new CA air pollution laws take effect, while at the same time controlled burns are again allowed.
Reminds me of the joke about locking a humidifier and a dehumidifier in the same room. Then letting them fight it out.

          Ayn Rand was right.

“There's no way to rule innocent men. The only power any government has is the power to crack down on criminals. Well, when there aren't enough criminals, one makes them. One declares so many things to be a crime that it becomes impossible for men to live without breaking laws.”
