Paying the price for skipping physics class ...

The last guy on was the straw that broke the bridge's camel
    or something like that.
Beats me why people are so dumb as to not understand that
things can break and gravity never sleeps.

I used to work with a gal who conducted tours of Russia. You may recall about 20+ years ago, there was a bad earthquake in Soviet Armenia, and there was a massive rescue effort looking for people trapped in the wreckage. Her comment was, "I can't imagine being trapped in the ruins of a building -- and knowing the rescue teams were run by Russians!"

Happily they did not fall more than maybe 9 feet. Not good, but thankfully not a couple of stories or more. Sincerely. bruce.

It's not only the Russians. We've had our fair share of porch, balcony, and walkway collapses over the years. The one shown was probably given the OK by Chicago building inspectors. Hand them a fat envelope and they cross their eyes during the inspection.

Physics: After a late night out, the lecture hall was a great place to catch up on some sleep. The monotonous drone could make me drowsy even on mornings when I felt wide awake.
