Your security for your freedom ...

Is that the democrat plan ?
Why not, because apart from the promise of future votes
from the uneducated immigrants pouring across our border,
what might also be on Nancy and Chuck's minds ?
Something more sinister maybe ? Is that the reason they
refuse to fund the wall. As it is, they are well on their way to
taking control, assuming they can wrest the White House away
from Trump. But even if they can't pull it off in 2020 they probably
will next time around. Maybe even the Senate. As more and more
cross the border you can bet a goodly number will be those bent
on some kind of mayhem, terrorist or maybe just a blood lust.
A situation ripe for draconian measures to quell the violence.
The numbers of crimes committed by illegals is already through
the roof, so a hefty increase might be just what a despot would relish.
I ask you, what's the loss of a little freedom worth if you can sleep
nights while the likes of Nancy and Chuck are on guard ?

Well put. If Trump is re-elected I'll be amazed. And heartened. Actually, my best fantasy is, conservatism is on a roll and someone a little more erudite takes the reins after Mr. Trump has broken the ground. But then, I don't trust smooth talkers. Mr. Trump is a smooth talker like a used car salesman.

Lets do the numbers(I don't have any numbers) the immigrants coming into the country are uneducated(mostly) and violent(we all are). I live in the SWest. Just before the Great Recession there was a "body a day" on the morning news. Sometimes three reported along with the traffic report. Kids were stepping over bodies on the way to school. When the economy tanked(and that was a good thing in my opinion) the cockroaches all scurried back to the homeland. It's about a body a week nowadays. . Now, if every pissed off Mexican decided to kill his brother-in-law this week, it'd be 500 bodies. But so far this hasn't happened. I have no idea what the thinking is behind all this welcoming indians from s. america. I guess if the EU gets overwhelmed with stupid people we should too, just to keep it fair. Who comes up with this stuff? Let China have Taiwan, let's run the U.S.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Lifted from a Fox News comment section, which as anyone knows, is not a gentle place:

In November 2018, I spent three weeks deer hunting on a deer lease near Laredo Texas. A known crossing point for trophy deer rather remote. One of the deer lease members happens to be a CBP border guard pulling in north of 50 grand a year. He says it is the cushiest job he ever had, spends most of his days "glassing deer" as crossings of illegals virtually nil. Funny part of it is that the border guards have what they refer to as "deer crossing pools" daily. Each day, a pool is formed and the person who "documents" the most deer crossing north into the US get to win the pool. Documentation is done with the high tech cameras attached to their "other" equipment. Now I can't speak for the veracity of this, but that is what was told to me. When looking at 2017 CBP SW border stats, they confirm illegal immigration apprehensions were at a 46 year low, and when you average that across all border agents, the average border agent captures a little over 1 illegal a month or about 15 a year.

Togor does your company know how much time you waste on social boards and doing "research" to refute what you do not like? I am retired and don't spend as much daylight hours on this board as you.

I suppose you find that question preferable to asking whether or not things are truly as bad at the border as some would have us believe. As for my employer, he gets his full share and then some.

Togor obtains his salary, earned or not, from the taxpayers of the state of Wisconsin.

That would explain why Togor spends some much "work" time on this board, I guess changing a battery in a remote is a good day's work for him.

Wonder what the going salary is for "trained" battery changers? I am "learned" should be able to ask for much more then "trained" one.

But do you have additional skills? For example, can you throw garbage off the stern of the ship?
