Stan and Ollie ...

Saturday morning at the pictures. As kids we could count on
watching Stan and Ollie demolishing someone's Model T or Flash
saving the lovely Dale from Ming or someone just as nasty, but
as we became older the 'boys' got to be rather silly - but still
remembered fondly.
So they've made a movie about them. We'll see.
I'll wait for the DVD.

By the time I reached about 12, the humor of such as that had become merely idiotic, & every time Laurel went into his stupid weeping gag (every 10 min., or sooner), I wanted to see his face bashed in. The few times Hardy acted alone, I liked him. They're films are shown on TCM all the time, but what's never shown are the serials I still like--Flash, Rocket Man, etc.

As a kid I loved Stan and Ollie. My favorite episode was the 2 of them selling Christmas trees in California in July. I still laugh when I think about it.
