    Bolton did a good thing

I've had my doubts about John Bolton in the past but I think he's done the right thing in putting some conditions, and well, rational thought, behind a US pullout from Syria. Politically, I doubt Trump wants to run in 2020 on the slogan "ISIS lives and the Iranians control Syria" and maybe they got him to see that. Bolton needs to tread lightly with the boss though, lest his labors are undone with a sudden tweet. Trump does not like being upstaged and will add Bolton to the scrap pile in a New York Minute if the spotlight swings the wrong way.

I suspect a tweet from la grande orange will correct Bolton's rather rational position.

Like clockwork. Has Bolton touched down in the USA yet?

He must be the worst micromanager. Actually, his business record sorta reinforces that point...

Now Erdogan is pissed at Bolton, who is unraveling the sweet deal the Turk thought he had with Trump that would give Turkey a free hand to beat up the Kurds. My guess--that part got left out in the original phone call to DJT. Anyways, the logical next move for Erdogan is to get Trump back on the phone and get him to throw Bolton under the bus. Bolton meanwhile will be on the phone with Mulvaney to try to keep the Erdogan call from getting through. Palace intrigue fit for a PBS mini-series.

Proof of the above??? Rigor is praising him.

So much for "Kill ISIS and take their oil". Remember that one? The campaign promise I don't remember is "cut and run and leave the people who believed us when we said we had their backs in the lurch."

I never said that. Screw the mid-east.
