Vernon and Boggs (good name for a jug band) are redirecting their frustrations over the fact that their champion appears to be botching the campaign, to the detriment of everyone. Digging in on the shutdown after his prime time TV spot was fact-checked into tiny pieces is bad enough. Now Trump admits that declaring an emergency is the backup plan. Think about that last bit for a second. If he can pull the cord at any time on an emergency decree, then why shut down the government?
