    No wall

For those here who oppose the wall, I am curious to find out how many are/or willing to personally sponsor a "refugee" family. I mean take full responsibility for them and not have them become a ward of my government. I am afraid that many here talk, but are unwilling to step up and actually do what they espouse. No argument is needed/desired just a simple statement of YOUR reality.

What amount of your taxes, specifically goes to those in this country either under asylum, under ICE custody, or simply as undocumented?

I'm sure you have it itemized?

I worked at a local county social services for a few years. The number of illegals collecting full service is astounding! Healthcare, housing, foodstamps, phone, transportation and SS. The mothers were illegal, but had multiple bambinos here, all legal with SS #s, they would say paco went back to mexico and we take care of them for life!

Skin-in-the-game arguments cut both ways. How much has the OP contributed to the wall go-fund-me?

AS I EXPECTED two here refused to answer a simple question with trying to take the conversation elsewhere. Back to the point of my question; HOW MANY HERE ARE WILLING TO PERSONALLY TAKE ON AN IMMIGRANT FAMILY AND FUND THE FULL COST OUT OF PERSONAL RESOURCES? I am not asking anything else, just this simple question if one is against stopping the illegal flow of any person into the United States. To be quite honest, this is a put up or shut up and yes, documentation is required not just a statement. TRUST BUT VERIFY is a good start.

It's a half-witted question with the implicit assumption that the wall is the Gold Standard by which interest in border security and immigration reform are measured. I would argue that favoring the wall is proof that someone isn't serious about border security and immigration reform because of the inefficient diversion of funds and inverted sense of priorities that it represents. In my mind the problem is far too serious to give an incompetent administration a free hand, no matter how much zeal they show for the task. Anyways, to your question, if our church passes the hat, we will certainly contribute, which could well happen as our priest has a prior background as a social worker down in Texas and he speaks Spanish quite well. In your case you need not worry as I doubt any of "those people" would want to resettle in your neck of the woods.

What costs Sam? You are deliberately (and expertly) avoiding answering the question.

Well yeah, when your snowflake filter keeps you from seeing the replies!

I love how those who cannot or will not answer the question call it a "half-witted" question -- then expect others to answer their quarter-witted questions. :-)

Not only crickets chirping on your question but soon you'll hear about Trumps bone spurs again.

Vern. I'm asking Boggs where he sends his check, and the amount in total. If you can answer that for him, great, as I'm waiting for him to demonstrate the cost.

Boggs got an answer from me and is currently in deficit with regard to providing answers of his own. You didn't read the entire post....again. Basically you misrepresent what I write to play to the snowflake crowd, as this exchange demonstrates perfectly. And you add nothing substantive of your own to the discussion, reconciling for example your distaste for large government programs in general to your enthusiasm for this large government program in particular, as if somehow an incompetent federal bureaucracy transforms into a superb one for specific tasks.

I am more serious about border security than anyone here, and should be an easy sell if the arguments are cogent and can withstand scrutiny. So far none of the "wall people" muster even a feeble attempt.
