    Some wonder if any of this is true. Does China have the resources and technology? Down here in the South we grow a lot of cotton. The plants are heat tolerant and since it rains about 300 days a year here the plants are apparently rot resistant. Still, the plants require heat, moisture, extreme light and co2. The Chinese are claiming now that they got cotton seeds to sprout on the moon. Given the temperature extremes and questionable moisture content makes one wonder. If this is done artificially then nothing has been accomplished--you could do this anywhere.



    Just discovered from reading this article that "dark side" means not visible from Earth, not dark as w/o sun light.

      If they sprouted cotton seeds on the moon, clearly the seeds were in an artificial environment.

      It reminds me of the fools who talk about "terraforming" Mars. "Just plant trees!" Yeah. What trees will grow on Mars?
