    Pols vs. Prols

Just to remind them whose opinion counts. The video feeds into several more including some in U.K. The virus is spreading, while we let our President sit alone in the WH.

Why shouldn't the police be armed? France has a percent of their population that have in the past shot, killed and blown up people. The protests are a huge target of opportunity for terrorists and others. Are you suggesting we gather in the streets to protest the policies of the President of the United States? I would gather in a support the President rally in Washington but I'm not about to spend the time or money travelling there to do so.

I think the point is, things are getting out of hand in France. I have yet to figure out what the "Yellow Protest" is all about -- it started as a protest against higher fuel prices and went from there.

I don't think its out of hand. Since the French Revolution the people have a tradition of taking to the streets. The country has issues.

The fuel tax was a 'climate change' carbon tax. People generally don't give
a damn about climate change, but they do give a damn about their wallet contents.

France is up to it's neck in muslims. That alone is a huge problem.

That's what I mean -- France is pretty much ALWAYS out of hand.

Let me point out we became a republic BEFORE France, and we're still the same republic. The current French government is the FIFTH Republic. They'd give your average banana republic a run for its money.

Colonialism it turns out was a two edged sword.
Britain and several European powers brought civilization
to many backward countries and in return took their spoils.
Now those backward peoples, having not learned the lesson
of self supporting, are going back to the teat. And the
              teat is becoming exhausted.

No, I mean we are not in the streets showing our support. My representative is R, but one of my senators is waffling and I am working on a firm but respectful email to remind him the Dems won't vote for him no matter what he does.

That is a lesson every Republican needs to learn and have reinforced constantly -- you might as well be a REAL Republican, because the National Socialists will never vote for you, no matter what.

Interesting that an erstwhile Liberal-Leftist government finds itself in conflict with...the workers ? Macron better be careful, he may soon find himself in conflict with...Solidarite ?

It's always interesting when the Proletariat finds out what their masters REALLY think of them.
