Did Mexico send a check yet, or is it something that's expected to come through unsanctioned Russian businesses via the NRA?

I'm ok with cancelling of the plane. Did you see the USAF Bus they were on? We rode on blue school buses. They could have given them a C130 with troops seats for the trip across the pond.

And then there is this headline on WAPO:

          https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/...=.6b1c3b577d17[/QUOTE]

There's always a minority of weirdos out there. This probably confuses them some.

What Larry Summers calls the, “the Argentinization of U.S. government.” So this sure as heck doesn't call for more Hondurans imported into the country. Read about Argentine's breakdown(twenty yrs ago). Kind of like the Venusuelan breakdown...ah..right now. Things aren't looking good in S. America, or it's a great time to move on up the North Side.
          Who's Larry Summers?

There's the irony. I used to be pretty good at spotting fake stuff because it just looked and sounded too dumb to be real. I'm sure this was "tweeted" which also sounds too dumb to be real.

Very perceptive! The above applies to where I live. (Hazleton,PA) Those who think otherwise do not live in an area affected to this extent. The area, surrounded by industrial parks is a prime example of local politicians in cahoots with companies looking for tax breaks and cheap labor. Of course few of these people live in the town itself,if they do it is in areas "insulated" from the not so pleasant realities of town life. I heard on the local news the other day, part of the fallout of the shutdown was that families looking to bring more of their relatives to this area are dead in the water for now. Fine by me. Maybe some of the pro- immigration (legal or not) folks should move here, take our places so they can be more involved in the situation they have deemed acceptable for the rest of us to deal with. But I guess that is never the way of the hypocrite.....

I've long thought we need a constitutional amendment that sets Congressional salaries at the National median -- let them live like the rest of us and find out what it feels like.

In many state legislatures that is about where the salary structure is (excluding the per diems) and it doesn't seem to produce a better breed of representative. The problem as far as I can see is that once you get to DC, the money people try to take over your life. Start with that.

To let the troops know that, that bad Trump wants to bring them home?
Meanwhile 375 illegals tunneled under the fence at Yuma and now are "asylum seekers". Free pass. If we are going to play little kids games why not herd them on to a bus because "that's not fair" and deposit them back on the other side. Game over, thanks for playing. No $200. Please try again. They will.
Not to beat it to death, but two muzlims were just arrested(one shot in Phoenix) for possible ISIS affiliation. Hey, but lets spend 1 billion a year in Afganistan.

The problem with that is the Congresspeople (CongressMAN is taboo) don't give a Tinkers-dam about their salary. They are collecting millions from lobbyists and billionaires like Buffet, Gates, Zuckerberg, Page, and Brin. Their $174,000 salary don't mean diddlly squat.
