They claim it will defeat all body armor at 100 yards.

Most any pointed bullet will go through a Kevlar vest. Many will compromise a heavy clay vest. This pistol is suppose to replace the Makarov so for it to even reach 100 yards means it will be dramatically different as far as size and power. I would assume this pistol will shoot a pointed bullet perhaps with a titanium core since Kevlar vest will stop most any blunt nose bullet.

Russia is making daily claims on their new technology that is always better than ours. Their missiles are stronger and faster and can't be shot down. Where we have the MOAB they have the "father of all bombs" and so on but this pistol isn't too far fetched in my opinion except for that 100 yard bit. Perhaps they have developed the "father of all pistols" that is mounted on wheels.

I doubt the 100 yard claim. Not the defeating soft body armor issue in general. If their military is counting on pistols to win wars I feel sorry for their soldiers.

            I'll bet it won't outperform a .357 Magnum.
