    We're doomed ...

Trump was out only hope, but he's being battered unmercifully
and may only survive until the next election. If that.
As the attached excellent article explains, the American people,
once smart and inventive have been dumbed down to the point
where they don't seem able to think for themselves anymore.
The article says it better than I could:

DT, the Vietnam vet in this photograph (from last Friday) might agree with you, that the youth of today are dumber than they ought to be.

As one perceptive person put it:
That's not a teenager out of control. It's the familiar gleam of a zealot. Never in the history of this country has that look portended anything but bad news.

      Here is what really happened...

Teens in MAGA Hats Harassed a Native American Vietnam Veteran

See, the plan of the Radical left is to keep putting these lies out there, over and over.
Knowing this, I can dismiss the bullsh!t when it comes my way.

With no commentary, no spin....judge for yourself....respectful or not? If my kid was there I would have boxed his ears for disrespecting the man. How that is a "hard call" for anyone is beyond me.

Staying in the bubble is a full time effort, no doubt. The difference between the raw clip and the spin in the facebook clip is night and day. But sometimes there's just no hiding from a thing and this is one of those times. Irrespective of his choice of headwear (but I'd wager not purely coincidental), there is something wrong with that kid.

"Boxing ears?" Are you stating that you child abused your children and advocate for others to do the same? Is this correct? This abuse can/ does lead to heaing damage and possibly brain damage, not to mention loss of self esteem.

A figure of speech to indicate a strong gesture of reprimand. As you say, ear boxing applied with force is a combat move that can cause serious damage. That strong figure of speech was intended to convey my strong negative reaction to the behavior of these children in public, and that I would never tolerate it in my own children (or expect to even see it, knowing who they are). It being a school trip that has now brought negative attention to the school, one would expect a busy week ahead for the administrators.

Rightfully so. 16 year old kids are pretty stupid, this example won't change that. Hopefully they learn that 15 min of fame isnt always positive.

Compared to the fanatical mobs that attack conservative speakers wherever they try to speak, screaming insults so loudly they can't be heard, if not attacking them physically, this quiet & smiling kid was VERY respectful, in fact more respectful than this BS artist deserved.

I'll explain, CH. It's the smirk, that says "there's more of us than there's of you, if you feel like starting something." That smirk alone gets the kid a place in the finals for "Most Punchable Face of 2019". Whether you like the value system on display or not, you're aware that like the government shutdown, this particular show by a MAGA hat is bad PR. To the OP, I submit it is also a sign of generational disrespect.

Hmm, This is a very interesting read. It’s good to have all of the information about things.
Please Read what the kid has to say about what was happening.

I'm still trying to figure out what the kid did that has peoples panties in a wad. Is standing there while someone beats a drum in your face somehow wrong? What should he have done? Being a veteran doesn't make one automatically right and being a kid doesn't automatically make one wrong. I just don't see that kid "harassing" the guy with the drum that walked up to him and started beating the drum in his face.
I dream of a better world. One where chickens may cross the road without their motives being questioned.

So in your scale of values, a smirk is the equivalent of a face distorted by rage, screaming hateful insults hysterically, as a man singing the praises of Trump would have received?

And who says Native American phony-baloney Stone Age nonsense is worthy of any respect? It's ALL jive-bullxxxx from beginning to end.

"Generational disrespect"? Respect must be earned. You think kids who had lousy parents and grandparents are supposed to "respect" their elders ? In my youth-and now at present, I am 69-I see plenty of senior citizens who needs the proverbial "trip to the woodshed".

I understand what you are saying, but at the same time, I don't know how else to raise my kids except to teach them to show some courtesy to older people in public. Sure beats teaching them to knock geezers around. And so taught, it's on my kids to act right, regardless of provocation. Nothing so important was brewing on those steps that made it worth that kid becoming one of those internet people.
