Yep. Tax the successful people and large companies that supply jobs and they will simply leave America for greener pastures. The failure of socialism will just get here sooner.

Sandpebble, What you are describing is the result of a Supreme Court decision supported by Democrats. Justice Souter wrote the majority opinion for the rest of the libs on the court. It changed how Eminent Domain could be used. It was supposed to be used to help blighted communities. There was a movement(unsuccessful) to get people to move to Souter's small town, become the majority, and take over his property using his ruling. Oh, Trump had nothing to do with it, I thought I'd just throw that in.

That company in MO hasn't been profitable in years... and it is only 200 jobs. Poplar Bluff, MO lost 2,000 jobs during the Obama rein.

The argument against Amazon is they wouldn't be paying enough taxes! NY lost 25,000 jobs at one swoop, plus all the other jobs that would have been created by the 25,000 employees and their family's spending money and buying things and creating more taxes than Amazon would have paid. That's right, families come with workers they are called wives and adult children. Princess Cortez (who BTW is not old enough to be the President) says the salaries, estimated to be 0ver $90K, were just crumbs. The argument that they would use more government services then their taxes would generate doesn't wash when compared to 25,000 new illegals the stooges would love to see in NY.

It's just more Commie/Lib BS and lies, lies, lies.

"Trump's" tariffs aren't keeping other companies from expanding, the economy is booming and togor is bawling and crying because the depression he wants hasn't happened. He hates America and do would absolutely anything (lying, stealing, and killing, included) to see the U.S. in the same shape as Venezuela

Red's pretty quick to throw a MO company under the bus if they gum up the narrative of how wonderful Trump's economic plan is. In any event I have more than adequately refuted Vernon's assertion that companies just freely pass corporate taxes on to their customers with nary a thought.

Not to mention when profits get thin, so do benefit packages, headcount, and that wonderful push to restructure retirement benefits. The vast of majority of the folks here apparently have been out of the workforce so long, they forget how things work. That ignorance is compounded by military retirements, decades of social security, and the benefit of being the last generation to squeeze a pension out of a company. The greatest generation is the one that lives the best off the current generations. Pretty great, right?

Interesting to note Vern, that with all the help big companies were getting "prior to Obama".... the economy still hit the toilet "prior to Obama " ... I remember, don't you ?
