14 year old builds working nuclear fusion reactor at home

We need more kids like this instead of our large supply of burn-outs who sit around all day smoking pot.

Some kids spend their time on social media. Other kids spend their time playing video games. When it comes to 14-year-Jackson Oswalt, his time is spent in a laboratory working on a nuclear fusion reactor.

It is cool, thanks for posting, Sid. In the field there is an old saying, which is that "fusion is the energy of the future....and always will be!" The ITER experiment in France has a terrific web site but is in fact a monumental boondoggle. They're building the installation, while critical problems remain unsolved for decades. Project management advice: if your project plan calls for "solving a heretofore unsolvable technical problem on day X", then it probably isn't a very good plan.

Actually, there is an excellent fusion reactor available for us to use. It's called "the sun".

I have a book on how to make an atom bomb. When it got to the subject of obtaining uranium isotope 238 I lost interest.

ACE Hardware sells that stuff. I have some - it glows in the dark.
Handy when the power goes off.

              Sounds like Kraptonite.

I read about that. Stored in 5gal plastic buckets in a museum exposed to the public. Not real bright.
