Why do we have to tolerate this crap? Why is someone like this ever elected to a position in government?

Interestingly enough, the Nazi emblem is NOT the swastika.

The swastika is an ancient symbol -- you see them in Buddist temples, and American Indians also used that symbol. You can find ancient Indian pottery marked with it. The insignia of the 45th Infantry Division (Oklahoma National Guard) was the swastika until Hitler came to power and it was changed to the Thunderbird.

The Nazi emblem, the Hakenkruez ("Hooked cross") is backwards.

Anthropologists theorize the swastika represents a bull roarer -- a one-stringed fiddle that is swung around the head to produce a Doppler effect. The bull roarer was used in religious and magic ceremonies throughout Europe and Asia in ancient times and ALWAYS whirled in a clockwise direction. The hakenkruez would represent a bull roarer being whirled wider shins, or counter-clockwise and that BAD medicine!

You must be looking at it in a mirror--it's also clockwise.

In the Western world the swastika is synonymous with fascism, but historically it was used as a symbol of good fortune in almost every culture in the world.

Once had a set of Bakelite poker chips with moulded swasticas on them; sold them during the height of the Bakelite craze about 20 yrs ago.

Nope -- the trailing outer arms are considered the "wake" and point opposite to the direction of rotation.

The should patch of the 45th Infantry Division was a yellow swastika on a red diamond, in 1939 it was changed to the more familiar thunderbird.
In the 1960s the radicals, Black Panthers, etc. never stooped that low.

Some people clearly don't deserve to live here.

Allowing illegals in and allowing them to vote results in s**t like this getting elected.

Well, the arms of the Nazi version point the same way as most of the Hindu & Tibetan Buddhist versions--so that can't be the "bad" direction.

Here's a comparison of the right and wrong way to make the swastika.
