    sCHOOL SCANDAL

Any idea of what will be the outcome? Who will do community service, prison time, fines, kids kicked out, diplomas revoked, slap on the wrist?

By the was the lower case s is intentional.

I think instead of arresting the ones who did the bribing the arrest should be the school officials who let them.

Colleges are all about money, not education, so what is the real difference between this and colleges admitting people with an IQ near zero simply because they can play ball and make money for the school? We all saw this in high school where some of the dumbest people breezed through with no problems. You have to maintain a minimum grade level to stay in the athletic program so the schools see to it that it is accomplished one way or another.

I also don't see the need in offspring of multi millionaires to get a sheepskin. It's not like they are going to try to find a real job or anything. Since these people have so much money to blow they should open their own private snob school just for the "better people" like themselves with no one to answer to. The celebrity snob school would have an instant excellent reputation via the liberal propaganda news media.

In short: Not my problem. All we can do is watch and be entertained. I doubt anyone will see jail cell time and it may all just be a smoke screen for something else bigger that is going on.

Slaps on the wrist, and some "Orange Is the New Black" spinoff (as a reality series) jokes.

You have to admit, it would be awfully hard to throw someone like this in a jail cell.

If we're going to investigate colleges, let's audit them. I recently saw an interview with a college president who said it cost $60K A YEAR to attend her school. SIXTY K A YEAR for WHAT?!?

Student loans have been a bonanza for colleges -- they can charge all they want, and hey, the students can just borrow the money! Colleges are stealing their students' life savings before they even have a chance to earn it.

One was released on a Million Dollar Bond. You get less bail for selling dope to kids! They didn't commit murder or rob a bank by golly. What laws were broken?

What laws were broken? It likely varies from state to state. Given that federal money is involved, these folks are going to have some fun with the folks at federal levels. This will be true of parents, coaches, officials in admissions, etc. Will be interesting to see how this ends up applying to top tier colleges/universities. They named the tune. Let them face the music ... same as when a teacher in high school pads scores for students to get better outcomes, etc. The other evening I was over at the county jail. I'll be there tonight. All sorts of folks go through there for all sorts of reasons. Can't see any reason why there should be any difference ... even if they have a plastic purse on their shoulder. JMHO. Sincerely. bruce.

ALL involved are dems to the core. The whole thing will end with fines, and talk show appearances for the attractive perps. Regards, Clark

Trae Crowder lays it on a little thick, but it is funny, and has a ring of truth.

Knee jerk reactions going on. $1,000,000 bail is ridiculous.
Smollet facing 47 years prison is also ridiculous.

I like to see white collar criminals, especially those from the elites, hit with serious charges and facing Hard Time.

I have a hard time mustering up any sympathy for these rich, arrogant a**holes who think somehow their money entitles them to special treatment. Throw them in jail, along with any coaches and college administrators who were part of the scam. End of story.

How about fining the colleges themselves?
