There's a piece about how US officials administering the aid to those countries say that the cuts will hurt not help. But what do they know, right. Also, you'd have to read it in the Washington Post (evil Bezos).

1. it's bad that locals sit around instead of going out and getting low-paying work
2. it's bad that people from Central America want to come here and do the low-paying jobs that locals don't want to do.

One obvious (and Conservative) response to this would be to say to the lazy locals, "fine you want to rot away the life that God gave you, then go ahead. We'll get someone else to do these jobs!" Accountability, baby! But somehow none of the Conservatives here can bring themselves to make that argument. I wonder why?

There's no contradiction in holding those two opinions. And what you deliberately ignore is that the invaders are no longer coming merely for "low-paying jobs," they're coming for free education & medical care for their diseased brats.

Well as Allen clearly knows, the number #1 rule of dealing with problems of human migration and refugees is to get them out of their homes and on the road as early and often as possible. Everything is way simpler and cheaper then. (Sarcasm)
