Police to scan for hidden knives ...

Since I was three feet tall I've carried a pocket knife.
All the kids I knew did the same. It was part of growing up.
The one I carry today has a blade 1/4" shy of three inches
and when this scanning device begins service, will probably
get me branded as a possible terrorist, mad slasher or
general mayhem maker about to run amuck with a knife.
It's getting hard to not be branded a criminal. Own more
than two guns, you've an arsenal, own a knife with a blade
longer than your pinky, you're a suspect. Because, if it's in
your pocket it's hidden, meaning it's concealed, thereby
    making you a suspect.

The Brits are a lost cause. This anti-knife business was started by the Muslim mayor of London -- whose own constituency is responsible for much of the "knife violence."

Yep. Disarming the citizens so the muslims can fully take over yet another country. Looks like they are half way there.

At least half way. And look to see more violence, rapes and other lawlessness in the years to come.

Most of which will no doubt be covered up.

When I worked at the refinery they had rules against bringing guns through the gates. I had no problem with that.

Later they started this bull about knives with blades longer than 3". The operations personnel operate the plant 24/7/365. Every control building (7) had a fully furnished/equipped kitchen. I reminded them about the long butcher knives we had to cook with, cut melons and so forth and asked "what you going to do, fire everybody?" The subject didn't come up any more.

The UK should be named Airstrip One.
The Brits have become the most remarkable people in the world-they can walk upright without a backbone.

                  Don't be too smug.
What begins in Britain has a tendency to emigrate.

So knives are a "gateway weapon" in the UK, apparently. Easy to see why they don't let their population have guns, which are even more lethal. Not sure what Islam has to do with this, except that a professor with an Arab name was quoted in the article. As Christopher Hitchens once observed, the British are a cruel and violent race.

Irish would disagree about the not-cruel part.

when they killed innocents with a bomb at Harrods and murdered Mountbatten
