And I hate to say it, but Trump has backed off on what I thought was some real toughness. Now Mexico has a year to do "something". They won't. In the mean time they continue to come over the fence and through the gate at the rate of 1,000 a day.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

Yep, he should have said "one year and progress needs to be seen immediately". Maybe he did say such and the media won't state it because he has since threatened to close the border again.

Word is that part of the reason the border is getting flooded is that the coyotes are telling people it's now-or-never to get in, that Trump is going to clamp down. Now we gun owners know a thing or two about panic buying, and of course selling into a panic. (I have a can of 840 rounds of M196, late 80's vintage, the good kind that will still light, that I could have sold into the Newtown frenzy at a nice $600 profit. I chose not to, but in hindsight maybe I should have. Anyways I digress....)

I'm wondering if Trump is looking at this all wrong. Maybe what he should be doing is figuring out how we can all make a buck off of the current border frenzy. I mean all of us, not just the guys pulling in overtime. C'mon Trump, figure out the business opportunity here and get it done!

Yup. It should have been, " on March 1, 2019 the border is closed". Total panic for two weeks. The old refrain; One Time Amnesty, OK, this is the last amnesty, this time we REALLY mean it, no more amnesty. Now the new refrain, Mexico is going to build the wall(whatever that means), Mexico has to stop the flow of drugs. Talk about tilting at windmills. May as well say, Mexico will part the sea.

Yup again. Reagan did this back around 1980 or so. He gave the illegals amnesty with the understanding that no more would cross the border. This was probably the latest in history that military enforcement should have been established against Mexico.
