    California goes tax crazy

They are now proposing new taxes on soda, drinking water, tires, batteries, etc. Check it out:

Other people's money. Had a brawl in the '90s with the Franchise Tax Board who decided I was an honorary resident for tax purposes because I worked for CA based companies overseas. The legislature in Sacramento finally told them to stop screwing around with non-residents.

It's time to find the handle in California, Chicago, Detroit, NYC and others and flush it.

They need to resurrect the Spirit of Howard Jarvis.

The legislature would probably not do that nowadays. California has a law that says that can tax ANY business that operates in California on ALL their profits, world wide.

I had a problem with the Franchise Tax Board many years ago.
I wrote them a letter in reply that was so complicated they gave up.
Just goes to prove - bullsh!t baffles brains - although to assume they
                had brains is a stretch.
