Luckily for these guys, those washing machines were unarmed.

I was lucky, at my department I could check out an MP-40, Thompson, Uzi or my favorite the 180. I had to provide the ammo and it was fun. The 180 fired 177 rds of .22LR in 4 seconds! I only shot the 180 on windy days or otherwise I chocked myself.

So is there a problem with people who can afford a fully automatic weapon from owning them dogtag? What makes them wannabe Rambo's? I'm just curious.

Look where he has chosen to live and there is your answer. Also remember his point of origin and early makeup.

I think Brits have an understandable aversion to MGs dating back to the Great War.

            I need to go,

Knew a couple dealers (RIP) that went every year, both told me there were deals to be had there as well as a good time

As a man once said, "We need rifles and pistols to keep the government from taking our liberty. We need mortars and machine guns to keep the government from taking our rifles and pistols."

no the first member here that I have seen post about the need for any type of firearm,

another posted about not needed high capacity mags, but that seemed to go un noticed by most

We "need" firearms like we "need" to vote. It isn't about "need" but about basic rights.

We had an event like this near Cheyenne Wells , Colorado a number of years ago. It was an annual event that lasted for several years. As I recall, it was hosted by the local volunteer fire department as a money-maker to purchase new equipment. I went several times and enjoyed myself immensely. (But then, I’m definitely a Rambo type.)

People ask me all the time "have you got more than 3 guns? Wow, you don't need them, why do you have so many?"

My reply is "do you have more than 3 pairs of socks? Wow, you don't need them, why so many"? Then I remind them we have a constitutional right to own guns with no limits or types mentioned. There is not a word about the right to own socks.

Really glad you're coming around to my point of view, that these things need to be seen in a consistent light.

when asked, I have more than some, less than others,

if someone presses for a number, i repeat it again

                              It's a tricky subject area.
