    Militias In The News

Let the crickets chirp. Nothing to see here. Nothing for Vernon to condemn here. But....if anyone wonders if the worst of Trumpism will lose in the long run, then let them doubt no longer. Scratch the surface and this is what is underneath.

Bad idea all around in my opinion, just make things worse. Better to just continue to tell things like it is, not what one would want to do.

Very slippery slope they are on!
To Error Is Human To Forgive Is Not SAC Policy

you comments seem to suggest this is something new and that may be covered up,

years ago, during the Clinton Admin , our club (RRPC.org) had some local 'militia' show up to shoot High Power matches,

we welcome all beginners, and they were beginners,
ragtag group, the leader acted a bit odd, but shot ok,
he was using an AUG,, not exactly a US Service Rifle but we let him shoot anyway,

next match he shows up with his wife, who he said bought him the gun (spouses can buy spouses guns,, so not big deal)
she pretty much stayed 2 steps behind him everywhere he went, and dressed a bit Amish like,,, not that it was a problem, except he did not seem Amish,,

next match he showed with his entire crew in tow, and most of them shot the 2nd relay,
and when not shooting, spouting off a pile of religious/political/idiot talk,,,,

so, after a bit he was told politely by more than one member that he was welcome here if he wanted to shoot a match,, but the conversations (one sided) were not appreciated, please stop,

one of his guys, mismatched camo, big ole beer gut, maybe 60yrs old, had SNIPER tags on his 'uniform'
claimed he was the camps SNIPER,, and he had been in the service as a SNIPER,,,

        yet,

he found eleventy seven different BS reasons he could not shoot that day,
even when offered up a spot, rifle, and all the gear and ammo needed,,,
they did have a young guy, fresh out the Corps, that could shoot a M14 like he was born with it, ,

otherwise it was all cylinder bore buckshot looking targets,

after that match, the RO gave the leader guy a one on one,, and they did not return,,

found out a few years later, once the local PD started using our range for training, that the feds had sent several undercover agents in to see what was up at our club (Militias etc etc) and we passed,,

While I don't doubt that some shenanigans were done, folks might note the leaders of that "news" source:
          Slate’s staff and frequent contributors.
