Barr should appoint a Special Prosecutor ...

    Right Now.
He has better things to do than constant fencing with the
idiotic Nadler and the other yappers chasing his heels.
Let a S.P. take the reins. Would be interesting to see what
the democrats would do. Would they attack the S.P. ?
Of course they would, but it would give the A.G. some
respite and it would scare the crap out of Crapper. Brenan
    etc, and maybe even Hilary.

DT, even Barr probably has limits to how far he will go to politicize his office. Trump threatens to sue people a lot but also fears discovery, where he has been bitten more than once. Most of his lawsuit threats are intended to scare off smaller fry. But in DC, everyone swims at the deep end of the pool. Sorry if this dashes your hopes but you are unlikely to see much in the way of a rampage of revenge out of Barr's office.

But I could wrong on this.

Barr has been to more then one rodeo and state fair in his lifetime. He strikes me as an individual that would not hire someone to go after an opponent preferring to do it himself...my kind of man.

If he does it himself it will be all he'll be doing for the next six years.
Why would he want to subject himself to the democrat hounding
when he can palm it off on someone else. Also, it will be more difficult
for the democrats to attack a Special Prosecutor when they so ardently
        protected Muella.

I wonder if Barr uses a block feature, Boggsy? Pretty amusing.

The Democrats can and will attack anyone who opposes their subjugation of the American Republic, this is becoming quite evident. Since this appears to be mainly financial, one should talk to the IRS ordering a criminal probe done under the correct color of law. Not one to "manufacture" wrongdoing, one to search for wrongdoings. From the few IRS that I have entertained in my lifetime, I have not seen any sense of humor. As long as the probe is done in an honest way, without political rancor the American people will accept it. If anything else, it would be interesting to see the opposition get a letter that they and their finances are under criminal probe. To save their own hide most will roll over on a higher up to avoid a lengthy visit to club fed.

Barr doesn't need to appoint a "Special Prosecutor." Any average Federal prosecutor that does his job will have mountains of evidence and no problem indicting dozens of high ranking Democrat operatives including the former President and his designated successor that committed thousands of felonies. All of Hilliarly's SECSTATE emails were the property of the U.S. Government... and she stole and destroyed 30,000 of them... that is 30,000 felonies.

So as to not offend the Stooges, Trump will pardon her in an effort to unite the nation but that will fail... the left still hail her as a hero.

Funny you should mention that. He does seem to want to block himself from visiting the House. Seems to be a common theme among the obedient, to shrink from engagement, to cling to the comfort of the choir, and the yes-men. Whatever that is, it isn't Conservative.

It appears IG Horowitz is going to lead the charge on FISA abuse. Which could lead to all kinds of folks needing a change of shorts.

Yes. I take back my "Right Now" He is waiting for the IG report.
Then, depending on report, appoint S.P. to take over the investigation.
As you say, there will be many needing diaper service.
