If you're stupid and prone to getting lost, then stay home ...

and save the rescue people the trouble and expenditure
    of searching for you.
Last week another couple got lost and had to be rescued,
but another couple were not so lucky, they died because
they had no water and I wouldn't be surprised if they
were wearing flip flops. These were people following a trail
so how come they wander off without enough water, no
map, no compass and obviously no sense.
This gormless looking guy should be presented with a multi
thousand dollar bill as should all those who were not bright
    enough to retrace their footsteps.

The idea of personal responsibility is not acknowledged in the Nanny State; in fact, it's anathema in the Nanny State! In the large state forest preserve around here, massive searches for "lost hikers" are an almost weekly occurrence in the summer, most involving State Police helicopters flying at $500/hr. as well as state cops & forest rangers working overtime.

This time of year it's a weekly occurence to have to rescue someone from one of the steep hiking trails here. They don't get that 98° is a little warm. Sixty year old women should take walks around the block not climb 900' peaks.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

And then there are those that fall off into the grand canyon and into volcano's.

Here in the Ozarks, we don't have that problem -- the bears and vampire bats take care of the lost hikers.

I always wondered where Bela Lugosi lived.

Only for a while -- he couldn't put up with the rattlesnakes and black widows.

He was the worst actor in movie history.
Kids would hide under the covers during his horror movies,
not from fright, but from the embarrassment of watching him.

Long before he met one of those, he'd have been run out by the ultimate vampires--the world-famous Ozark TICKS.
