Yeah, but no rats, mice, lizards, or birds.

Canada's version of San Francisco, except you step in cat crap, not human waste.

My cats that I've had in the past would kill snakes too and present them on the back steps as a show of "hey look what I did ".

I was a cat person long before I was a dog person--now I'm both and you can get every bit as close to a cat as you can a dog. They are just different. I had one cat who would climb my ladder to be with me when I was shingling the roof. We had another cat that got between my wife and a rattlesnake in an effort to warn her. In any case, one or two, two or three is my limit--not like this article.

If you have a talking pit bull you need to take better care of it than feeding it cats.

I keep telling him that, but he's into junk food.

Cats are smart---that's probably why he can talk.

Not so smart -- they couldn't talk him out of eating them.

I have a PC-prison cat-named Dominic. I have one refugee from a death camp-animal shelter-named Lucy. Recently my wife informed me that I was the officer in charge of parole for the new resident - Wild Thang. And Dominic is 16 years old. Lucy is 14 years old. Wild Thang is a little over two years old. Broke my hand six weeks ago. When my wife got me home the hospital all three cats piled up on the bed by me. Good morning I woke up. WT was laying with her head on my cast asleep purring. Oh well. Sincerely. bruce.

My cat used to bring me dinner - a bird or usually a Mole ALIVE.
I'd accept the gift and let them go.
She was very considerate but her table manners were atrocious.

I am a cat person, I agree 300 is a little much. A limit of 6 cats in a household-typically Socialist. Any limits on the numbers of "relatives" in a household ? Especially if they're on the Dole ?
Cats are better than wives or girlfriends. If they get tired of you, they just up and leave. They don't file restraining orders, throw you out of the house, clean out the bank account, run up the credit cards, etc.

I grew up in downtown Toronto but the sort of cat houses that I knew of in my neighborhood were of a different variety

Actually the report that I heard was that all the cats were well fed and healthy and from the photos, that appears to be true. On the other hand, even with the best of care, the apartment must have smelled foul.

I have 3, and litter box duty can be a strain,

I can't imagine litter box duty for 300
