i'm still for the occupation of northern mexico. the only wall we need is a wall of military personal. it's a clear and present danger.

Occupy northern Mexico and do what with it? Take care of it? That's what we usually do. Can you say, Puerto Rico? Better to allow them to work here. At least something gets done and it's all "under the table". Of course there's a voluntary tariff(since tariffs are in the news),the good people of the United States are expected to volunteer food and clothing, free schools and medical. I'm not dumb enough to do that. The meds and school get "stolen" from me via taxes. let the Lutherans and Methodists pony up if they want to.

Who'll pick the lettuce? I don't care. I don't eat lettuce I eat spinach. It doesn't take 30 million people to pick lettuce. Who'll do the landscaping? I don't care if we have tulips on the on ramp in April. Other than that, what is the purpose of inducting 30 million low education folks from down south? You know the answer.
If I should die before I wake...great,a little more sleep.

And then there's this, an article about how cities in backwater regions like refugees to help stem population decline. Of course that changes the demographics, which maybe is the problem. Suffice it to say that if gates to the country clang shut, there will be some cities that dry up and blow away.

Yup, it's about business. It's always about business. If some little gadget manufacturer is pressured cheap labor is a likely answer.

+1 on which? he wants them in to work, or we don't need them in to work? i'm confused. I think we should keep them in mexico even if we have to take care of them. we sure as hell are taking care of them on this side of the border.
by the way I pick my own lettuce and spinach.
like my ancestors picked their own cotton.

and yes I can say Puerto rico.

I mean I’d say that’s against Republicans. A lot of the Republicans say you go through an E-Verify. I used it when I built the hotel down the road on Pennsylvania Avenue. I use a very strong E-Verify system. And we would go through 28 people — 29, 30 people before we found one that qualified.
So the problem with E-Verify is that it works too well and farmers can't find labor?
