Jefferson and Jackson latest to face democrat wrath ...

Can Washington be far behind ?
Makes me wonder just how far back into history the
democrats are willing to go searching for racist villains.
Might I suggest they start with, maybe, Ramesses 1st ?

I have a simple approach -- don't worry about Jefferson and Jackson, just get rid of the whole "Slavery is a positive good" party -- the Democrat Party.

Vernon, the northern Democrats with some southern help did what you're suggesting over 50 years ago, with the Voting Rights act and Civil Rights Act, both of which you regard as bad law for "real" Americans. It's not hard to see which party today seems more receptive to concerns of minorities, and which party yearns for some kind of retrenchment.

How about remembering villains and malefactors ? Do they have pictures of Gaetan Dugas in homosexual establishments ? What happened to the idea if you don't study history you repeat it ?
You want racists ? Read about "Pitchfork Ben" Tillman and Theodore Bilbo.

The problem is, the statues and so on are PART of the history.

Every now and then there will be a story about something that was "hidden" from us. Who did the hiding? The people who tear down statues and suppress accounts of the past!

It's as if all the concentration camps were erased and all accounts suppressed. How would that serve us?

Wait till they try to label Jefferson and Jackson as Republicans.

There are Democrats who will argue loudly that it was the Republicans who owned the slaves.

Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Jr., Booker and countless other blacks---all democrats, will support that too.

They make Hank Johnsons comment about Guam capsizing seem brilliant.

The Republicans under President Trump is slowly bring the Republic back from the edge of a cliff. Currently our party weekly is confirming conservative Federal Judges at a rate much to the disdain of socialists. These people will yield sway over policies that go against the Republic and the Constitution. The socialists need to stop President Trump to stop the nomination of conservatives. More conservatives less social power and less socialists laws. This is what is really galling to Togey and he and his husband can't do a darned thing about it!
